What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I was inspired to write this book because I had grown tired of seeing older women in television, film and literature mostly portrayed as the evil queen, jilted first wife or wise grandmother. I wanted to see mature women as superheroes fighting to save the Universe. I also wanted to explore what it means to age in a more supernatural/sci-fi setting.

How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I first started to visualize women with wrinkles and white hair in tactical gear on a battlefield. Then, I created a Pinterest board for my novel and starting putting my dream cast of characters together as if it was a movie. Once I could visualize them physically, I went to work on their personalities.
