What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I love to create stories about difficult situations in peoples' lives–relatable situations that require critical decision-making and have multiple outcomes given the choices made. I want readers to question the main character's decisions and ponder what they would do in a similar situation.

How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
The protagonist in "They Called Me Margaret" was relatively easy to conceptualize and develop since she is a novelist like me. She wants to be her own person for once in her life, and I wanted roadblocks for her, so what better way than to have a sketchy husband and disingenuous neighbor. And who doesn't like to read about someone else's quirky mother-in-law?
