What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
My cozy mystery amateur sleuth, Miss Riddell, has solved many murders. I wanted a mystery that didn't include a murder, but may do if she isn't successful. Kidnapped pets are almost as much a draw as murders so I wrote Miss Riddell and the Pet Thefts.

How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Miss Riddell is based on my aunts from the time, 1950-1990, and also Miss Marple who is my favourite fictional sleuth. My intention with the Miss Riddell Cozy Mysteries series is to follow the career of my super-sleuth from nervous beginnings as a young woman to the final, polished detective of her senior years.
