What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I love to cruise. I've been on many, starting with the first one way-back-when on my honeymoon. But I haven't been on a cruise for almost three years, and I really miss it. So what's a writer to do? Take a cruise vicariously through her characters! Yep, the book club is taking a Hawaiian cruise in Vampires and Villains!

If you've ever taken a cruise, their journey will feel familiar to you. If you've ever been on a Princess cruise ship you might find this boat familiar, since Princess is my favorite cruise line. If you've never cruised be prepared, you're about to get the full experience. Although I've never actually seen a vampire on any of my cruises . . .

How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Many of my characters have their roots in someone I know or a character from a movie or TV series I love. In the Magical Mystery Book Club series, you’ll meet Zell. She's an 80-year-old spitfire. You'll see that all my elderly characters have spunk and energy. They have a fantastic sense of humor, and very few filters. They demonstrate that age is just a number and doesn't need to limit you. I have a great example of this in my very own home! My 88-year-old mom. She is very Zell-like and keeps us laughing and on our toes.
