My original exposure to writing was with radio and TV commercials. I was actually a Voice-over artist and I was offered a job with a TV station that allowed me to explore both fields simultaneously. I loved the writing part of my job but, eventually, my voice-over career became dominant and I had to concentrate on that for a few years.
I wrote my first novel, Womanhood about two years ago and my world changed; fiction is so compelling to write. It gives you almost God-like power – in a harmless way. My novels all have quite deep storylines. Womanhood is a slightly dark suspense-thriller, but it also has lots of fun moments. It deals with a young girl’s traumatic passage to adulthood.
