About the Author
Art Martin grew up in Chicago and was a business executive with several major corporations until he retired and moved to the West where the romantic dreamer in him felt he should have always been. He lives near Aspen, Colorado on a small ranch with his wife and horses.

He wrote his first novel just to see what writing a book would be like. Years before, when he was in broadcasting, he had been asked to act in a play in the local community theater. He did it to learn what acting was all about and he learned that acting was harder than it looked. Same thing with writing.

He has an undergraduate degree in Communication Arts (University of Notre Dame) and a graduate degree in Business (University of Chicago) but nothing beats learning by doing. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1971 to 1979 during which time he learned how much we owe to all those who have served our country.

He and his wife have traveled much of the world but their hearts are in the Mountain West. For him, it’s a spiritual place, more than an oasis, not quite heaven. Being closer to the end than the beginning, being able to ponder and pray about one’s relationship to the divine is just that much easier when the terrestrial surroundings are inspirational.

He has spoken and lectured at numerous business gatherings and conferences.
