The only thing Grayson has is common with Rowan is their best friend Seth — until Seth tragically dies in a car accident. Pushed together by their grief, Rowan and Grayson embark on a journey of closure, and find that love can grow even in the most barren of places, when you need it the most.

About the Author
When I was in the second grade, my teacher told my mother how much she enjoyed my first ever story and that "she's going to be an author one day". I took that statement to heart and have worked ever since then to practice and continually learn about the wonderful craft of writing. Throughout college, I took several courses in literature and creative writing, participating in our collegiate writing club and the campus newspaper. In 2019, I finally realized the dream of my inner eight-year-old self and published my first book, Ain't Nothin' but the Devil, with Limitless Publishing. The following year, I released its sequel, The Devil's Storm. Ain't Nothin' but the Devil was nominated for a Georgia Author of the Year Award as well as the Georgia Independent Author of the Year Award. Deadlocked is my third novel, and can be read as a standalone, but I plan to continue the series. When I am not writing, I am a fifth grade reading and writing teacher, running after my eight and four year old, or spending time with my husband.

Free Book: 02/14/2022 Sounded Forth the Trumpet: The Pursuit of Lee from Gettysburg by James Sagerholm |
|

The book is a fictional account of what might have occurred if the President, the Secretary of War, the general-in-chief and the commander of the Union Army of the Potomac had aggressively used all forces available to them in order to prevent Lee’s escape with his army to Virginia after his defeat at Gettysburg. If such an effort were made and succeeded, the war would have ended in 1863, saving over 300,000 lives and millions of dollars.
