What Are Author Interviews and Where is Mine?

Published: Sat, 10/05/13

Yesterday we sent out a newsletter that had a list of the author
interviews on our site. There is apparently some confusion about
the author interviews vs the book posts.
Here is the list of authors that have submitted *interviews*
http://bookgoodies.com/author-interview-list/

Yes it is a very long page! Use Ctrl F or Cmnd F and search
the page for yourself.

If you are not on that list and remember submitting *something* to
BookGoodies that included some interview type questions, that was
your "Tell Us About Your Book" post. You can find those by typing
your name in the search box at the top of any page. Book posts
have the title of the book, followed by your name, as the title.

Author Interviews have "Interview with Author - Your Name" as the post
title. There are different, more general, questions on the author
interview than there are on the Book posts. This is important for
authors to realize, because people will find your posts in different
searches.

We designed both the book posts and author interviews to
have information that is useful to readers, helpful to other authors
and will help your posts on our site be more informational and not
clones of what you have posted in other places. We want our site to
be unique and to get you and your books discovered.

Author Interview posts also have special coding which pulls in your
other posts on our site (as long as you tagged your posts with your
name) including book posts, guest posts, excerpts, short stories,
or anything else you have posted on our site. They also pull in
information from your GoodReads profile *if* you have filled out
your GoodReads profile link - not a book link - this is an important
distinction since many others have included a book link and not their
actual GoodReads Profile link.

To complete an Author Interview please go to this page and fill one
out:

Please check the link above though first! Removing duplicates can
be a tedious process and you should only have *1* author interview
page. You can have numerous other posts, but only *1* author interview.
Also if you submitted on in the past couple of weeks, it takes up to
3 weeks for an interview to show up on our site.

If you have an interview and need to make corrections, we need to
do those manually. Please leave a comment on your interview with
the corrections. If there are major corrections, submit a new
interview with a link to your existing interview and ask us to replace
your interview.

Later this month you will also see some other things we are doing
with your author interviews.

Hopefully this clears up any confusion and helps you understand the
differences in some of our post types.
