What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I really enjoy sweet romance novels, but I can't much relate to heroines who magically inherit seaside inns, cupcake bakeries in idyllic small towns, or charming vintage bookshops, and then do nothing but whine about it! My collections of oversized coffee mugs and cozy sweaters leave something to be desired. My life is dusty and dirty. My plans go haywire. And I don't have a trust fund to fall back on.
I wanted to write romance novels for women like me, because our lives are can still be tons of fun and we deserve our Happily Ever After too!
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I really wanted to write characters that paired well together. They did not have to be perfect, just perfect for each other.
April Summers is a ray of sunshine. She is bubbly, confident, and over-flowing with optimism. J.T. Thomson is her perfect foil – a fun-loving guy who has had to get practical and work hard.
