A witch was bitten and held captive by a werewolf. Years later a teen was bitten but escaped with his life. Both will succumb to the effects of the werewolf bite at the next full moon unless someone can find a cure. In book 1, all of Alan’s family were killed by werewolves but he survives. A witch arrived to help him, and now all the witches in the Keep are trying to save him and their sister-witch. Magic has kept Alan alive so far. Magic has existed for millennia. What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I grew up reading Stephen King novels in which "the-ordinary-guy-meets-the-supernatural." These books are interesting to me as I can put myself in the shoes of the protagonist. This Risen and Hunted series started as a short story, but there was just too much to tell. I have always been interested in "what if?" scenarios. So "What if you are bitten by a werewolf?" got me going!

How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I tried to imagine characters and relationships that are meaningful anyway, but with the added stress of horror or magic, they would be interesting. I create characters I would like to sit and talk with if I could. I can imagine the characters in this book telling their stories around a campfire or over a meal.
