I was inspired to write this book when I was watching my cat Gidget looking out the windows and into the backyard. She was watching the outdoor feral cats in my backyard.

How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
The characters for my book were already in my house. Gidget and Tigress are a constant source of entertainment.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I have always been a romantic at heart. I believe in true love and soul mates. I also believe that people can change and deserve second chances. And I definitely believe in magic. Even though we sometimes can't see it, I know it's all around us. That's why I love reading romance novels. It's a chance to escape into a world where anything is possible and the happy ending is always just within reach. But as I've gotten older, I've found it increasingly difficult to find novels that fit my age group. Most heroines seem to be in their twenties or early thirties, which is fine if that's what you're looking for. But as a 58-year-old woman, I want to read about women my age. Women who are starting over or reinventing themselves. Women who are inviting new love into their lives. It's refreshing to read and write stories about women of a certain age finding happiness and fulfillment later in life. It reminds me that it's never too late for a happy ending.

How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I'd like to tell you a little bit about how the Magic Matchmaker Agency came to be. It all started with a simple idea: to create a modern twist on the classic story of star-crossed lovers. On the one hand, I was inspired by certain TV series like "Bewitched" and on the other hand, I wanted to create something that fits our modern world with online dating on the rise. Being the romantic at heart that I am and believing in the magic of love, I also wanted to create something around the mystical gods of love. And so, little by little, the Magic Matchmaker Agency slowly came alive in my head. With the help of a little bit of magic, the Magic Matchmaker Agency aims to make people's dreams about true love come true.
