You can control your thoughts and feelings and choose how you feel in any circumstance. You can heal the emotional effects of past trauma. You can use the law of attraction to bring what you want into your life in a way that benefits everyone.

If you wonder how I can make such bold claims. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Deacon at my Baptist Church. Over the decades I have seen people benefit from counseling and therapy. I have seen how people benefit from self help techniques having attended many seminars over the years.
I have also seen how people benefit from knowing the lord. I have seen people achieve peace, self-acceptance, become more loving, having a stronger sense of purpose because they know the lord.

The purpose of this book and the ones that will follow is to let you know that you can benefit from faith and the use of therapeutic self-help techniques. I want you to be enabled to live the best life that you can possibly live with all the tools you will need to live a life filled with joy, peace, and success.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
Some of my fondest memories while raising our two daughters were visiting the library and reading bedtime stories. It made me think "someday I'll write a children's book." After twenty-seven years of Federal service, someday finally came. That’s how it was!

How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Many people wonder . . . what does a part Hispanic, part Native American woman, who has lived her entire life in New Mexico, know about growing up on a farm in the predominantly German and Scandinavian mid-west? Simply put . . . I married into it. Back in the day when I was dating, I had a dear friend tell me if I found someone who had a happy childhood, he'd be a good catch. I didn't give it much thought at the time, but it may have been a premonition on her part. I hit the jackpot! It turns out the love of my life had a wonderful, happy childhood growing up on a farm in the country. Over the years I've listened to my husband and his cousin talk about their mischievous escapades. Thus, the main characters and their stories are loosely based on real life.

Anxiety throughout your teenage years fills your head with “a billion voices”. What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
As a teenager all the anxiety, bad emotions and also shyness led me to put my inner world into what at first were songs and later on became poetry. Let's call it a coping mechanism. When I got 18, I decided to publish the best ones as a "first chapter" in my story.
