What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
The lengths that my family went through to regain their health and some level of normalcy is nothing less than remarkable. For years my mother told me to share the story with others, fighting for their lives too. Four years ago my mother passed away. Shortly before her death she reminded me of her wishes and begged me to share our story. To honor her, I have done just that. If our story helps just one person find hope and realize that healing is possible and their illness doesn't define them, then everything we went through was for a reason. I didn't understand what the purpose was when we were in our dark years but now, I know that we were meant to survive and empower others who are struggling to regain their health too.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
The growing reliance on technology and specifically AI technology is worrisome to me, as is the reality of plummeting fertility levels within the human population. I believe the two may be linked and so I was inspired to write a cautionary tale of what might just happen if the technology so many want so badly in every facet of their lives actually ends up being mankind's worst enemy.

How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
For this story I thought of the struggles to be faced in the story and I modified several characters in a way as to come at the same problem being faced by all of them, and yet show how they handled the situation differently. Some characters are farther ahead development wise to start and yet the story shows the maturation of other characters to the same development throughout the story just as it is in life where we all don't have it perfectly right to start out with. The important thing though is to hang in there even if it takes some longer than others to reach an advanced stage of life achievement. To show that I created a cast of primarily female characters that are at all ends of the spectrum, but all faced with the same predicament.
