What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
We both love cozy mysteries and Downton Abbey; the two together seemed the perfect fusion. The 1950s are remembered as fun times and we've included plenty of Fifties trivia to jog your memory. We hope readers will find it as much fun to read as we did to write.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Duchess of Snodsbury is has a lot of the characteristics of our own female amateur sleuth in Miss Riddell cozy mysteries and Sewing Suspicion cozy mysteries, while borrowing from Downton Abbey's female protagonists.
Ponsonby, the butler, is Lord Peter Wimsey's Bunter. He does the technical stuff, like photos and fingerprints.
Barkley is the dog we all wish we had, unless you have a busy, self-important Welsh corgi, of course.
