What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I have been going to Positano, Capri, and the Amalfi Coast of Southern Italy since 1985. I immediately fell in love with the area, and have loved it ever since, never dreaming that one day I'd right a book about, as the great John Steinbeck did after falling in Love with this beautiful town as well. I could never be the great writer that Steinbeck was, but one thing, as far as books on Positano go, I believe mine is better than Mr. Steinbeck's . Again, I'm in no way say that I'm anywhere near as talented as John Steinbeck, just that my book on Positano and the Amalfi Coast is better than his. Anyway, I've spent a good amount of time in Positano, on Capri and the Amalfi Coast and Naples over the year. Positano has become insanely popular in the past 15 years or so, and I thought I'd write a book about it. Not just a travel guide but a Cookbook, Travel Guide, and book of essays and stories of Positano and the gorgeous Amalfi Coast. What inspired me to write the book? Well, with the Love I have for this beautiful part of the World, I wanted to impart a bit of my knowledge of the food, the place, and the people of Positano and the Amalfi Coast. So I have written a book like no other on positano / The Amalfi Coast. It's meant to inspire, help you plan your trip, making it the best possible, to let you dream of the place, and how to cook the most cherished dishes (Food) before, and when you are back home, in order to help you to relive special memories and meals of Positano, Naples and the Amalfi Coast. "Buon Appetito" !!!

POSITANO BITES DEEP
Italy has long been a dream destination for so many, the art, the history, endless sights, and incredible food and drink. These are but a few of so many things that make Italy and its Amalfi Coast one of the most favored destinations. It’s an area of Italy visited by millions of travelers each-and-every-year. And it has become one of the World’s most sought after spots for their very special “Dream Vacation.”
If you are headed to Positano for the first time, your final approach into town is one you’ll not soon forget. The first glimpse of Positano is mind-blowing, and usually has a profound effect on one’s feelings. There is something about Positano? I guess you’d call it magical? Whether driving in a car, arriving in one of the Blue Buses, or by a ferry boat, the feelings are similar. Yes it’s that first sight of Positano. A sight you will not soon forget, for it grabs you and is one of the World’s most wonderful.
Arriving in Positano by car or bus is the most highly dramatic of any of the modes, and the one I recommend most, especially if you’re going your first time. If you’re coming by one of the local buses, driven by the World’s best bus drivers, you’re in for quite a treat, for the ride from Sorrento to Positano is one of the most spectacular on God’s good Earth.
