During a tour of an Irish castle, Caitlin, an American student on spring break encounters the legendary Jared Kellan, a 13th-century warrior said to be cast in a spell by an evil sorcerer. Both are unaware she is a modern day blood relative who embodies the exact likeness of, Kayla, the woman Jared believes betrayed his family.
Later that night, Jared, bent on vengeance, thinks his magical amulet has led him to Kayla. As he stands on Caitlin’s hotel balcony on the stormy night, the glass door opens and he enters her room while she sleeps. As Caitlin wakes, she and Jared engage in a struggle that activates the amulet’s protective powers which transport them back to medieval times and into a world on the brink of war against the evil sorcerer.
Barely dressed, in her night clothes, barefoot and cold, and armed only with her pepper spray, Caitlin finds herself in a violent world at the mercy of the handsome but vengeful stranger. Soon she discovers it takes more than a pretty face to survive plus a bit of magic in a time without laws or justice where only the strong survive.

ABOUT ME
Born and raised in Chicago. I am divorced with two adult children and two young grand children. I also care for a teen step child and my elderly parents (85 & 103). I live in Southern California.
In the day I work in a spa, by evening, I turn to my favorite pastime, writing. I love romantic action-adventures stories mostly set in historic times. Growing up, my greatest influence and inspiration was Errol FLynn, as I watched him in sea adventures like, “The Sea Hawks” or play medieval hero, “Robin Hood.” More current influences are, “Braveheart, Tristan and Isolde, King Arthur, Gladiator, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and even Assassin’s Creed Unity and Elder Scrolls,” video game series.
When it comes to writing, music is my main muse so I am constantly listening to emotionally charged sound tracks from movies or video games. I find many on YouTube as well. Music moves me, it keeps my fingers clicking the keyboard as my mind fills up with plots and scenes. Writing to me is not only entertaining but therapeutic, even spiritual. Perhaps other artist out there understand this.
I did not have formal training in writing so I have, painfully, been learning as I go. My first book, The Sea Maiden, has been through many revisions, it was a humbling experience because of the grammar reviews, but I did learn much about writing and self publishing as well. The more I read from other authors the more encouraged and courageous I become, for writing is not for the faint of heart. As other authors put it, you must not give up your dream, keep going and keep typing…eventually I’ll get it WRITE, RIGHT? Haha…hope you enjoy!
