At one time I thought they would, but I learned in a very unique way that they don’t. I was a middle-aged scientist who got sober, then I embarked on a second career—as a stripper.

Ultimately, my exploration grounds me in a morality and value system and I learn how to resurrect a relationship with myself that will serve me well for the rest of my life.

About the Author
Today I live with my husband of 7 1/2 years and five rescue animals, three cats and two dogs in Northern California. Because it’s taken me an entire lifetime (okay I’m not that old, but you know what I mean, especially if I live to be at least 100 like I plan) to build the relationship with myself that helped me create this great life, I help other women build their own Self Appeal so they too may experience the peace and joy that I’ve found. Oh yeah, I like to weed and I love a stocked freezer with rows and rows of homemade soup (which I make with my husband’s seasoning help).

About the Author
Linda Kovic-Skow is a best-selling author in travel in France. Originally from Seattle, she currently winters in Gilbert, Arizona and spends summers on a boat in the Pacific Northwest Waters of Washington and British Columbia. She earned an Associate Degree in Medical Assisting in 1978 from North Seattle Community College and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Seattle University in 1985. She has been married for 30 years and has two daughters. An enthusiastic traveler, Linda also enjoys hiking, boating, gardening and socializing with friends. “French Illusions: My Story as an American Au Pair in the Loire Valley,” was her debut memoir.
