County Wicklow, Ireland 1790
It’s springtime and 17 year old Patrick Rourke has everything to live for. He’s young, strong and healthy, has a loving family and has won the affection of his sweetheart Catherine. Unfortunately, Patrick is also quick tempered and has an unfortunate tendency to use his fists to settle disputes. A relatively minor confrontation with the occupying British Redcoats escalates and Patrick’s world is torn apart as he becomes a pawn in the political aspirations of the United Irishmen and suffers the wrath of the British dominated Irish penal system.
With everything he holds dear seemingly lost Patrick finds himself thrust into an emotional and physical journey that will see him plummet into the depths of rage and despair as he is transported on the convict ship Boddington to the penal colony of New South Wales.
Will he ever see his family or his beloved Ireland again ? And Catherine – all his future revolved around Catherine – what can he hope to offer her now ?
Author Bio:
Roy Humphreys is retired (from paid work) and lives with wife Denise and daughter Rachael in the southern suburbs of Sydney, NSW, Australia. His primary focus is now his family (four children, 8 grandchildren). He also finds time for running (cross country in the Royal National Park area), fishing and, sometimes, writing.
Patrick’s Journey is based on the real life story of his great grandfather, 6 generations back, that he heard about at a family reunion many years ago. It was a story that he felt needed telling, but never had the time until retirement came in 2012.

Harm’s Way is a quaint little novel about eleven typecast teenagers who decide, after much convincing, to spend a week out of their summer vacation in Ben’s cabin in the deep Vermont woods. These woods have a terrible history, and as soon as they arrive at camp and see a dead girl skewered on the newel post, they realize that there is a killer on the loose. Like the idiots that they are, they decide to stay the week anyway, and so, thankfully, one by one they get slaughtered. Accusations fly all week long, but in the end they never figure out who the killer is. That is up to the reader to piece together. Time to put your thinking caps on, kids. And time to take some anti-nausea medication, as the killing becomes more and more graphic. Good luck. Oh yeah, and those of you with sick senses of humor may need to take occasional pee breaks or your pants may get a little wet. Fans of Evil Dead II, Saw, April Fool’s Day, and Student Bodies should enjoy this.

This book reveals rare esoteric knowledge and practices of profoundly enlightened individuals. In the 1970s, while on an extended trek in the Himalayan Range, the author encountered a remote village deep in the vast wilderness of massive ice peaks, a village called Siddhalaya. There he had the privilege of meeting a number of extraordinary men and women—introduced to him as “masters” and “adepts”—possessed of a knowledge and a power virtually unknown in the Western world. In this volume, you will meet these remarkable people.
Richly enlightening and deeply inspirational, this book sets forth the fundamental knowledge, essential principals of consciousness, and methods of visualization to master astonishing creative powers. A must read for anyone seeking greater personal knowledge and power.
“At last! A masterful, entertaining, straightforward presentation of the profound knowledge of those who know and preserve the arcane wisdom of an occult world. Filled with wit, wisdom, wonder and magic. Completely delightful cover to cover. Incomparable visualization techniques . . . complex but once learned have amazing effects.” —Susan C., D.Phil
Fragments of this knowledge have at various times through the millennia appeared in esoteric literature, in the more profound Eastern philosophies, and in the occult wisdom traditions of various ages. In modern times, splinters of this knowledge have resurfaced in various presentations, although unfortunately absent both the most fundamental elements as well as the most advanced elements of the wisdom system of the supreme masters. Attaining the ability to directly manifest whatever persons, circumstances and events you desire to experience in your life cannot be truly or fully achieved through simplistic concepts of “positive thinking” or some alleged “secret,” as so many people have learned.
In this book you’ll learn from dialogues with true masters how to use your own creative power in every aspect of your life—wealth, health, relationships, love, happiness, and in every interaction you have in the world. If studied with care and practiced with intent, you will be enabled to recognize and utilize the hidden, untapped power within you,

In this unique collection, Uvi Poznansky brings together diverse tales, laden with shades of mystery. There are four of them: I Am What I Am; I, Woman; The Hollow; and The One Who Never Leaves. Here, you will come into a dark, strange world, a hyper-reality where nearly everything is firmly rooted in the familiar—except for some quirky detail that twists the yarn, and takes it for a spin in an unexpected direction.
This is the reality you will see a biblically inspired hell, through the eyes of a ghost of a woman trying to reclaim her name by appealing to the devil; the eyes of a clay figure of a woman, about to be fired in the kiln, longing for her Creator; the eyes of a woman in the midst of a free fall, about to become a ghost; and the eyes of a feline creature with cracked fangs, trying in vain to resign herself, by hook and by crook, to being locked. These characters explore their identity, and challenge their fate.
Inspired by her art, by quotes from literature and the bible, and by the author’s professional career, these tales come from different times and places. Yet all of them share one thing in common: an unusual mind, one that is twisted. So prepare yourself: keep the lights on.

Sequel to Zach Abrams bestseller ‘Made a Killing’
Treat yourself to an enthralling read
A cold, bleak February morning in Central Scotland commences with the discovery of a body. Chief Executive, Hector Mathewson is found dead within the cask room of his own distillery. DCI Alex Warren needs to balance his own turbulent personal life while directing the hunt for the murderer. There are suspects aplenty with motives ranging from greed, nationalism, adultery and revenge.
Review extracts
• ‘Great dialogue, unique plot and clever humour. A Measure of Trouble is a book with such a generous helping of twists that it make for a total page turner.’
• ‘until Zach came around, I never actually read a mystery before. I’m so happy that my introduction to this genre was by this talented author’
• ‘Abrams has a wonderful capacity to bring readers into the personal lives of Alex and Sandra, which are full-blooded and sympathetic characters struggling with issues’
• ‘this novel is well written, well-structured and, what I really enjoyed about it, the plot develops on several levels and the characters and events are frequently presented with a dry sense of humour, which makes it hard to put this novel down’
Author Bio:
Having the background of a successful career in business and finance, Zach Abrams has fairly recently started writing fiction.
His first novel ‘Ring Fenced’ was published in November 2011. It’s a crime story with a difference, following one man’s obsession with power and control.
This novel was followed by a collaboration with Elly Grant to produce ‘Twists and Turns’ a book of short stories.
Zach’s second novel ‘Made a Killing’ started his Alex Warren murder mystery series, a fast moving, gripping crime novel set in the tough crime-ridden streets of Glasgow. The second of the series. ‘A Measure of Trouble’ is set in a whisky distillery and the third, due for publication on 31 March, ‘Written to Death’ deals with a mysterious death during a writers’ group meeting. .
Zach’s thriller, ‘Source; Greed, Power, Revenge, or is it Economic Terrorism’ has three investigative journalists researching corruption and sabotage in the banking sector while trying to cope with their own fraught personal lives.
Alike his central character in ‘Ring Fenced,’ (Bemjamin Short), Zach Abrams completed his education in Scotland and went on to a career in business and finance. He is married with two children. He plays no instruments and has an eclectic taste in music, although not as obsessive as Benjamin. Unlike Benjamin, he does not maintain mistresses, write pornography and (sadly) he does not have ownership of such a company. He is not a sociopath (at least by his own reckoning) and all versions of his life are aware of and freely communicate with each other.
More in keeping with Alex Warren, Zach was raised in Glasgow and has spent many years working in Central Scotland.
