This is a steamy romance, and contains explicit sex scenes.
Garden City, Kansas, 1888.
A small Western town receives an early Christmas present; a new pastor for the church. He’s young, handsome, and single. But to church organist Kristina Heitschmidt, Reverend Cody Williams is nothing but trouble. Especially as his first move is to attempt to take control of the music away from her. But Kristina is not about to give up her life’s work.
With Christmas fast approaching, it appears the two are at a stalemate. That is, until a sudden blizzard traps them together in the church overnight. Forced at last to deal with each other, they realize that the explosive feelings between them are really symptoms of an overwhelming passion that just might, if they can finally be honest, lead to the love of a lifetime.

Featured Free Book: Book is free from 10/15/2014 until 10/16/2014 If the dates are the same, book is free one day only.

About the Book
How much would you pay for an hour of kinky sex with a beautiful woman? One thousand? Four thousand? More?
How about with your life?
That appears to be the case with an elite escort service in New York for which scantily-clad bodies and dead bodies seem to go hand in hand.
Enter Frank Boff, the morally-challenged but irresistible rogue investigator. Boff is hired to find the killer of a legendary Cuban boxer who defected to the States. The boxer’s death was an execution. One bullet to the forehead. One behind each ear. The questions facing Boff are why was the boxer killed, and who did it? In order to find the answers, Boff ventures once again onto the Dark Side, where things aren’t always what they appear to be.
As he investigates, new bodies start piling up. At first glance, the stiffs seem unconnected. But when Boff begins to connect the dots, he realizes he may be up against powerful people as sinister and dangerous as any he’s ever butted heads with. Making matters worse, they’re gunning for him.
First they ransack his apartment and clock his son on the head with a gun. Then they wire a bomb under his car. Suddenly it’s more than just a case he was hired to do. Now it’s personal.
Dead-set on making the people behind the murders pay, Boff orchestrates a dark, twisted endgame scenario that turns the hunters into the hunted and steamrolls toward the only conclusion that will satisfy him: a bloodletting.

A handful of people from across the globe and spanning four centuries, their lives bound together by fate, are guided toward the one thing they all have in common…the island.
A sultry breeze whispers warnings through the palms as a wounded sixteenth-century settler enters the island’s dark cavern, disturbing ancient secrets. Amid intertwined tendrils of vines growing without sunlight, he finds a mysterious power source which will change his life forever. His prayers are answered until he loses the woman he loves. The gift becomes a curse as he walks the earth alone, haunted by her memory.
Four-hundred years into the future, an aging scientist loses his job, his health, and his wife. Approaching the eventide of life, he dreams of youth and yearns for second chances. When his team discovers the island on an old map, he uses an emerging technology to harness the earth’s energy in an attempt to change the past.
The island is an eternal curse for some. For others, it is a new beginning. In a world where greed is a constant threat, the love of a beautiful woman must link them together in an adventure that defies the logics of time.

About the Book
The definition of masculinity is becoming increasingly skewed by mainstream society. Machismo is often mistaken for manhood, and fatherhood is persistently mocked in the public arena. Yet the need for good men and for loving, strong, protective and involved fathers has never been greater. I hope this book will touch the heart of every boy or man who reads it and nurture within him a desire to become a true man.

When my husband, Roger, and I adopted three-year old Tyler from Ukraine in 1992, the orphanage director told us, “He just needs to be loved,” but Tyler needed much more than love. The product of a neglectful and abusive environment, he was a wounded little soul who fought every attempt that was made to integrate him into our family, afraid to trust in human relationships. During his frist years in America, he was diagnosed with RAD (Reactive Attachment Disorder) PDD (Pervasive Developmental Disorder-an autism spectrum disorder) and Tourette Syndrome, leaving my family overwhelmed and ill-prepared to handle such an emotionally fragile little boy. HE JUST NEEDS TO BE LOVED chronicles Tyler’s journey from a troubled child to a confident, happy, young man with endless possibilities.

Author Bio:
Craig wrote his first novel at the age of four and, by age seven, he was one of the most prolific writers in the Northern hemisphere. Unfortunately none of these tomes were published. This rejection forced him into seeking a career in the Dark Arts of business management. His unhealthy obsession with medieval bladed weapons and riveted metal clothing caused his initial fast rise in the corporate world to be curtailed when it was recommended by senior management that he seek professional help.
He told them to sod off and wrote Plob instead.
He has now published a trio of award-winning fantasy/humour books in the Plob series and also writes best-selling thriller novels as C. Marten-Zerf.

Ancient Rome meets Modern America – Historical Fiction with a twist.
** Long-listed for the 2012 ReLit Award for Fiction.**
“Morgan has written a book that is highly original and beautifully executed. The balance between the Roman world and the modern world is maintained with skill and adroitness, and the narrative is deftly woven through both of these time periods, never faltering or losing momentum.
The Last Stoic is a fascinating, parallel look at two societies who are not, as it turns out, as different or distinct as one might think.”
– Helen Humphreys
The Last Stoic is a story of appetite and fear, both modern and ancient. Half of the story’s narrative occurs in the time and place of the ancient Roman Empire; the other half occurs in the present-day United States. The parallels between the two eras are so strong that the narrative continues uninterrupted as the setting shifts from historic Rome to modern America, alternating from chapter to chapter.
Marcus, a young man from a northern provincial border town, journeys deep into the heart of the empire and witnesses first-hand the excesses that can lead to ruin, both personal and political. His story offers an ancient commentary on the preoccupations of our own turbulent times. Shortly after his arrival, the empire is thrown into a panic by an unprecedented barbarian attack on the capital. Suspicion and paranoia abound. A young Roman/American runaway named Patrick, disillusioned with his own life and the state of his country, becomes convinced that Marcus is a dangerous traitor. Culminating in a public accusation made by Patrick, Marcus is wrongfully imprisoned, exiled and tortured as an enemy of the state. In prison, he confronts the many contradictions he has found in his adopted home, and in himself.
Throughout the story, in both eras, the writings of the philosopher-emperor Marcus Aurelius (The Meditations) insinuate themselves unexpectedly into Marcus’ life. In prison, he is saved by a chance meeting with Sextus Condianus, the “last Stoic” of the title, a cell-mate who is able to fully recite Aurelius’ words and impart their wisdom. Ultimately, it is this unanticipated and unbidden instruction that gives the young man the strength he requires to survive. It becomes evident that the words of the venerable Stoic emperor have as much relevance to our own era as they did to his.
About the Author
The Last Stoic, edited by award-winning novelist Helen Humphreys and long-listed for the 2012 ReLit Awards, is Morgan Wade’s debut novel. His short stories and poems have been published in Canadian literary journals and anthologies, including, The New Quarterly and The Nashwaak Review. He attended the Humber School of Writing and worked with mentor Michael Helm. He lives in Kingston, Ontario.

When teenagers Harland Jacobs and Jose Rodriguez crashed a wedding, they weren’t doing anything terribly wrong. Jose only came because his nagging mother made him. Harlan only joined him to make it tolerable for his friend – and the free food, the girls and the dancing, of course. And they took full advantage too, eating, laughing at the guests behind their backs, and in the end, were planning to make complete fools of themselves. Why not? What did they have to lose? But they never dreamed this wedding would have taken such a staggeringly horrific turn. They never dreamed they would be fighting for their lives in this lodge tucked away in the woods. They never dreamed they would have heard so much screaming on a wedding day either.
About the Author
Troy Aaron Ratliff was born and raised in Hamilton, Ohio and self educated in writing, art, photography and voice impersonations. About the Book
What if you had a second chance with ‘the one who got away’?
“…Seventeen-year-old Clare Meredith is a freshman at Indiana University in 1972 when she first eyes handsome grad student Lowell Goodenow. Outwardly, the two are mismatched: Clare is a hippie from Indiana, while Lowell, who plans a career in the U.S. Foreign Service, is from a fine Virginia family. Despite their differences, however, a passionate, sexually charged romance ensues. Eventually, however, Clare’s anti-war activity brings the relationship to a sudden, seemingly permanent end. Clare signs up for a university program in Mexico, and the trip brings her a new relationship and new adventures, but it doesn’t succeed in erasing her memories of Lowell. Similarly, Lowell begins his Foreign Service career overseas but finds he can’t stop thinking about Clare. Years later, she’s working for a U.S. tech company that sends her to a conference in Kuwait City; there, she comes face to face with Lowell, who’s serving as a U.S. commercial attaché. They find that the sparks are still there, but so are the differences that caused their split years ago, making a reunion appear impossible. Gates…nicely conjures the pot-filled counterculture vibe of the 1970s as well as the budding technological scene of the ’80s…When the former lovers meet in Kuwait City, though, Gates wisely avoids the temptation to have them simply run back into each other’s arms, as if time and distance had not kept them apart… A well-plotted…international romance.”

About the Author:
Rachel Wood Daniels was born in Montgomery, Alabama and has resided there for the majority of her life. She received her undergraduate degree and master’s degree in accounting from The University of Alabama. Since graduating, Rachel has worked in the private sector as a CPA and has partnered with the doctors who created Proactiv as a Rodan + Fields consultant. After brief stints in Birmingham, Alabama and Memphis, Tennessee, Rachel realized there really is “no place like home” and returned to the Montgomery, Alabama area to reside.
Although Rachel never envisioned being an author, a collaboration with her eldest sister, Emily Wood Smith, to help brides and grooms save time with their wedding thank you notes, led to the publishing of “Something New: The Bride’s Complete Guide to Writing Thank You Notes” (available in paperback and Kindle versions) and Something New: The Bride’s Complete Guide to Tracking Thank You Notes” (available in a paperback version only).
Emily Wood Smith was born in Montgomery, Alabama and has lived there for most of her life. She received both her undergraduate degree in Music Performance (piano) and her Juris Doctor from The University of Alabama.
After graduating from law school, she moved to California with her new husband because he was stationed there with the U.S. Navy. She is now back in Alabama with her husband and their 2 year-old son. Professionally, Emily has worked for the government and in the private sector. She is a member of Wood & Smith Legal Services, LLC, in Prattville, Alabama, which is a law firm focused on military law and estate planning.
The idea for the books she co-wrote with her sister, Rachel, Something New: The Bride’s Complete Guide to Writing Wedding Thank You Notes and Something New: The Bride’s Complete Guide to Tracking Thank You Notes, came from her own experience with wedding thank you notes. In a span of four months, Emily graduated from law school, took the bar exam, moved twice (including a move across the country to California), and married. Because of this demanding schedule, her thank you notes were not the priority they should have been, and Emily found herself greatly behind with her thank you notes. Her hope is that these books save couples time so they can focus on other aspects of their wedding and marriage.

About the Author:
Alan Hardy is UK-based, and a director of an English language school for foreign students. He is married, with one daughter. He has now written five novels. They have been described as surreal novels with plenty of comedy, satire, humor, romance, sex and adventure. They’re shocking, original and respectful of nothing and nobody. You have been warned. Alan is also a poet (poetry pamphlets: Wasted Leaves, 1996; I Went With Her, 2007).
The four published so far are BRITT, GOOD QUEEN BETH, GABRIELLA and THROUGH THE GATES.
As well as his poetry, Alan is currently revising one novel, and writing another: the former recounts a story of obsessive, near-pathological love, and the latter is a murder/detective mystery. Watch this space.

The craving for crossing the threshold of new frontiers has carved the tissue of history with the chisel of one of the noblest and most compelling ambitions of mankind – to reach for the stars.
The quest to conquer space began in earnest in the fifth decade of the twentieth century, which saw America and Russia engaged in a daring and frantic space race.
The Russians took two bold steps, which would precede the American Lunar landing: in October 1957 Sputnik One, the first man-made object to escape Earth’s gravitational field, was launched into space and in April 1961, Yuri Gagarin successfully orbited the planet.
According to rumours circulating at the time in Western countries, covert attempts to put a manned satellite into orbit may have occurred in Russia preceding the Soviet success of 1961.
Most momentous events are recorded and duly committed to history. But history itself can be unstable; its truth can be lost in the fog of time, manipulated or worse yet: purposefully hidden.
Was the story of Sergei Federev, a Russian ace test pilot – exclusively chosen for a top secret project to be the first human in space, lost in the fog of time, manipulated or hidden?
Or does the answer lie in the possibility of something else beyond anyone’s imagination.

“All who threaten me die.”
These words made Morgan Stormrider’s reputation as one of the Phoenix Society’s deadliest IRD officers. He served with distinction as the Society’s avenger, hunting down anybody who dared kill an Adversary in the line of duty. After a decade spent living by the sword, Morgan seeks to bid a farewell to arms and make a new life with his friends as a musician.
Regardless of his faltering faith, the Phoenix Society has a final mission for Morgan Stormrider after a dictator’s accusations make him a liability to the organization. He must put everything aside, travel to Boston, and prove he is not the Society’s assassin. He must put down Alexander Liebenthal’s coup while taking him alive.
Despite the gravity of his task, Morgan cannot put aside his ex-girlfriend’s murder, or efforts to frame him and his closest friends for the crime. He cannot ignore a request from a trusted friend to investigate the theft of designs for a weapon before which even gods stand defenseless. He cannot disregard the corruption implied in the Phoenix Society’s willingness to make him a scapegoat should he fail to resolve the crisis in Boston without bloodshed.
The words with which Morgan Stormrider forged his reputation haunt him still.

About the Author:
According to official records maintained by the state of New York, Matthew Graybosch was born on Long Island in 1978. Urban legends from New York suggest he might be Rosemary’s Baby, the result of top-secret DOD attempts to continue Nazi experiments combining human technology and black magic, or that he sprang fully grown from his father’s forehead with a sledgehammer in one hand and a copy of Bulfinch’s Mythology in the other — and has given the poor man headaches ever since.
The truth is more prosaic. Matthew Graybosch is a novelist from New York who lives in central Pennsylvania with his wife and cats. He is also an avid reader, a long-haired metalhead, and an unrepentant nerd. Without Bloodshed is his first published novel. He’s currently hard at work on the second Starbreaker novel, The Blackened Phoenix, while also working as a software developer.
