I’ve always written but life, as it often does, got in the way and I turned back to writing some years ago. In 2000 I was selected by North West Playwrights of England for further development but found I preferred writing fiction (novels and short stories).

She has illustrated a number of children’s books with her photographs, and while she shoots a wide variety of subjects, childhood is her favorite theme. Not all of childhood is idyllic, and she captures the more troubling aspects of childhood as well as the more fanciful ones.
